A very important collection for Phoebe Philo, as she is clearly expanding on the brand's newfound identity and it's fascinating to watch where she'll take it. For S/S 11 there is a softening of the austere and serious power dressing and yet the minimalism and maturity are still undoubtedly present. Fabrics remain a focus but strong coats and blazers have been replaced with relaxed pullovers and cuts are more loose and fluid. Notice the hints of sportswear and heavy tone on tone. Layer with equally flowy pieces from Chloe, contrasting textures from Proenza Schouler or add a splash of print with Missoni.
